Making a logo for Kleurjekist was something that really meant a lot to me. It was such a different project than anything else I’ve worked on recently.
Giving your loved ones a beautiful farewell and going through the grieving process together is something that will always stay with you.
In the logo, we wanted to highlight the ritual and connection that Kleurjekist brings. I’m really proud of what we’ve created together.
Kleurjekist is a farewell coffin made of untreated, solid poplar wood. The lid of the coffin features a custom engraved illustration (made by other really talented creatives). Both kids and adults can color it in however they like.
Painting the farewell lid of the coffin helps children process loss in a way that suits them: actively, creatively, and playfully. The illustration makes it possible for every child to participate.
Kleurjekist aims to support families, especially children, in saying goodbye and processing grief. Creating a colorful memory together contributes to coping with the loss.
It’s a farewell coffin and a farewell ritual all in one.
